This Privacy Policy describes how CAGB as a data controller collects, uses and discloses information, and what choices you have with respect to this.

When we refer to CAGB o Central Asia Guidebook we mean centralasiagb.com that acts as the controller or processor of your information.

Other definitions and interpretations:

  • “GDPR” General Data Protection Regulation, EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union and the European Economic Area, which came into force on 25 May 2018;
  • “Partner” – tourist service provider (individual o company) that agrees to publish/advertise the information about his services on centralasiagb.com;
  • “Partnership” – an agreement between a Partner and CAGB to publish and or promote the Partner’s services on centralasagb.com;
  • “Partner advertisement” – collectively or individually as appropriate, advertisements published by CAGB on the Website on behalf of Partners.
  • “Services” collectively or individually as appropriate, any product or service published/advertised by CAGB including but not limited to any services listed on the Website;
  • “User”, “Users”, “you” Any and all persons who access the Site, book services published on centralasiagb.com, and services provided by CAGB, including but not limited to Partners;
  • “Website” the website owned by Central Asia Guidebook with the url: https://centralasiagb.comand any sub-domains of this site, unless expressly excluded by their own terms and conditions.

What and who does this Privacy Policy apply to?

This Privacy Policy applies to both individuals and companies who are our Partners and CAGB Website Users that provide us any kind of information.

Why we process your data?

Partners:

  • To administer the Partnership you have with us.
  • To create your advertisement.
  • To provide detailed information about you and your Services to CAGB Users.

Users:

  • To keep you up to date with the latest, relevant content we have published.
  • To administer and confirm bookings you have made on our Website.
  • To keep you up to date with and invite you to any of event or activity that our Partners are organizing or to suggest you new services offered by our Partners that could be interesting for you.
  • To collect your feedback and seek your insight through online survey invitations.

Our lawful basis for processing your data

It’s in CAGB’s legitimate business interest to keep its customers, partners and contacts informed of our latest content, Partner Advertisements and services and to manage and administer their Partnership and bookings.

Users:

  • Occasional emails or calls to check in on how you are getting on with any of with the Services booked on our website.
  • Post-service emails or calls to check if you are satisfied with the quality of the services you booked on our Website.
  • Occasional email updates on new interesting events and services or Partner Advertisements published on our website.
  • If you don’t want to receive these emails and calls, please, just specify it in the booking or contact form you fill in.

Types of data we collect

When you book any services on our Website we’ll collect the kind of standard, non-sensitive information you would expect a service booking Website to request. For example, we’ll ask for your:

Partners:

  • All the information you specified to us (including but not limited to photos and videos);

Users:

  • Your name
  • Your email address and contact number
  • Your postal address (if necessary)
  • Your tip dates
  • Your destination
  • Your location (in order to facilitate the search of available providers in your area)
  • The service you are booking and all the related information you indicate in your booking (as, for example, your preferences)
  • Finally, we’ll collect and store data on the bookings you make with us.

Use of cookies

CAGB uses cookies and other third party tracking technologies in our websites and across other websites that help us collect other information about our customers’ and users’ preferences. You can choose to permit or restrict the use of these technologies through your personal browser settings. CAGB cookies do not contain any personally identifying information,

Third party data

CAGB may receive data about organisations, industries, website visitors, marketing campaigns and other matters related to our business from our partners, affiliates or others, that we use to make our own information better or more useful.

We may receive and store other information when if you participate in an activity or event organized or promoted by CAGB, if you request support (during your trip or while organizing it), interact with our social media accounts or otherwise communicate with CAGB.

Recipients of the data we collect

We will share the data we collect from our Users with the Partner that provides the service they’ve booked in order to confirm the availability and proceed to reserve it.

We will share the information specified by our Partners with our Users in order to promote their services and to provide our Users with detailed information about the service they are booking.

Our expectations of our Partners

Any personal data we share with our partners is shared only the basis that the data will be used by the partner under a lawful basis of legitimate interest and according to the requirements of the GDPR.

Data processing partners

CAGB may provide your personal information to a subsidiary of CAGB, any affiliated companies or other trusted businesses or persons, acting under a confidentiality agreement, for the purpose of processing personal information on behalf of CAGB.

These parties are required to process such information based on instructions from CAGB and in accordance with this Policy. They do not have any independent right to share this information.

CAGB may transfer Your Data if CAGB is acquired by or merged with another company. CAGB will provide notice before this occurs and will post a new Policy if necessary.

Credit checking (for Partners only)

CAGB may share your personal information with a credit checking company or with a credit card processing company to bill users for CAGB services. These third parties do not retain, share, or store any personally identifiable information except to provide these services and are bound by strict confidentiality agreements which limit their use of such information.

Your rights over the personal data we hold

You can reasonably request access to the personal data we hold on you, at any time, and we will provide that information free of charge within one month of your request at the latest.

You can request inaccurate or incomplete personal data held on you to be rectified or completed or for your personal data to be suppressed or erased, and we will respond within one month of your request at the latest.

Your right to object

CAGB may store and process personal information collected on centralasiagb.com or other CAGB Web sites in any country including outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) in which CAGB or its affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities.

We review our data protection and privacy procedures and policy regularly and post any changes to our Privacy Policy on this page. We will inform you via email of revisions to the privacy policy.
